Darko Anicic (http://darko-anicic.eu/) has received a PhD degree from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany) in 2011. Prior to this, he has gained Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Communications at the University of Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina). He has also been a visiting scholar at the Stanford University (USA), and the Stony Brook University (USA).
Dr. Anicic's main research areas include Event Processing, rule-based Stream Reasoning and Semantic Web. Apart from this, he has been working on implementation of various software architectures (SOA, EDA, Cloud-based architectures) and real-time decision management systems.
