Fed up with offering the same mediocre standard of quality
and range of products that the majority of larger Foodservice
Companies offer, an opportunity arose some 6 years ago for Elite
to change that position.
In previous lives, three of Elites Directors separately had very
extensive Chef and Catering experience running their own
establishments within the licensed catering trade, it was decided to
draw on that pool of experience and open our own in-house kitchen
facility producing chilled and frozen foods exclusively for Elite
customers andTAILORMADE KITCHEN was born.

At Faucet Inn we love our food. Each venue
has its own menu carefully crafted by our very
special in house chefs.You will find a range
of menus from contemporary Chop House’s
to fully fledged pizza kitchens! One thing
is for sure, we recognise the importance of
provenance so when sourcing suppliers we’re
always looking for the best quality.
Elite supply us with everything that we need.
They tick the box whether its a butcher, baker,
grocer or fish monger.Their 6 day per week
multi drop deliveries ensure freshness and the
delivery windows are always met.
We enjoy personalised service which stretches
to bespoke products; using their tailor-
made kitchen and bakery. Quality is not
compromised by great service and pricing.

We decided to turn the normal logic of starting a business i.e.“to
make a profit”on it’s head, instead opting to produce the quality
of products that we would wish to eat ourselves and work that
standard back to a price that our customers would be willing to pay.
For Elite this strategy has worked, our customers are getting better
quality products together with menu originality ensuring they in
turn get repeat business from their own customers -
a self fulfilling partnership.
Tailormade Kitchen is very well equipped and is able to offer
(subject to volume) any bespoke products or range of products in
chilled or frozen form to any customer, all delivered up to 6 days per
week directly to our customer’s individual outlets.

We have been working in partnership with
the team at Elite now for ten years. Every
one of our 20 sites has an individual menu,
and the guys at Elite work really hard
to source the locally produced, quality
ingredients we demand.
We really like to involve our Chef teams on
choice of suppliers and from their perspective
they really rate the whole team at Elite, from
telesales to van driver.
The team there are flexible, prices are
competitive, goods are top quality, the service
is first rate, they work really hard both for and
with us. Its a proper“WinWin”relationship.

We have used Elite since we first opened our business after an already successful relationship with
Jason who prior toYummy Pubs was Executive Chef at Sussex County Cricket Club.We have always
had a strong relationship with Elite and this is mainly down to the fact that they do the simple
things well, in addition to this they will work with us to develop our product range and always
improve on quality of ingredients.
Most recently we worked with Elite to develop our own burger bun to complement our offer and
this has proved to be a great cost saving exercise as well an improvement in our overall burger offer.

Who would have thought even 10 years ago that our great country would become so food
orientated, the general public are now so knowledgeable that we in the industry have to constantly
up our game in every respect. Having spent 24 years in the catering industry I have seen these
changes at first hand applying them to Elites‘RAISON D’ETRE’.
My company is a little different to the main national players as we tend to form good strong
personal relationships with our customers be it individual operators or up and coming chains,
treating our customers as our partners.
We have 6 depots covering all of Southern England,Wales, London and up as far as Liverpool and
Manchester, offering orders up to midnight for next day delivery Monday through to Saturday on
our full range of Fresh Meat/Fish/Fruit andVegetables/Chilled/Frozen and Ambient Foods.
