Welliver's Instructional Transformation Model 5 Hierarchical stages of technology integration through which all teachers must progress to integrate technology and curriculum
5 Hierarchical stages
Stage 1: Familiarzation Teachers become aware of technology and its potential uses.
Stage 2: Utilizationzation Teachers use technology, but minor problems will cause teachers to  discontinue use.
Stage 3: Integration Technology becomes essential for the educational process and teachers are constantly thinking of ways to use technology in their classroom
Stage 4:Reorientation Teachers begin to rethink the educational goals of the classroom with the use of technology.
Stage 5: Revolution The evolving classroom becomes completely becomes integrated with technology in all subject areas. Technology becomes an invisible tool that is seamlessly woven into the teaching and learning process
The Learning Process Authentic Learning: Instructional activities Demonstrate real life connections Associating concepts to real-life situations. Students Build Electric Car
The Learning Process Participatory Learning: Engage students in inquiring, reflecting, problems solving & formulating & answering questions. Collaboration
Department of Education Curriculum is designed at State or School District Levels Palm Beach County School District Florida State Department of Education U.S. Department of Education
Key Terms Anchored Instruction: Providing a knowledge base on which students can build; learning and teaching activities are designed around an anchor (or situation) that provides a scenario or problem enhanced with curriculum materials that allow exploration by the learner.
