New tools for a new generation? There is a new group of people born between 1980 and 1984 (approximately), that have been described as  Digital Natives . They are more familiar with, and have used more often, a wide variety of digital devices from a very young age. In short, they have ‘spent their entire lives surrounded by and using computers, video games, digital music players, video cams, cell phones, and all the other toys and tools of the digital age’  (Prensky, 2001, p. 1)

  • 3. New tools for a new generation? There is a new group of people born between 1980 and 1984 (approximately), that have been described as Digital Natives . They are more familiar with, and have used more often, a wide variety of digital devices from a very young age. In short, they have ‘spent their entire lives surrounded by and using computers, video games, digital music players, video cams, cell phones, and all the other toys and tools of the digital age’ (Prensky, 2001, p. 1)
