service
 It is not just about making money . I t is about
 Imagination
 Creativity
 Readiness to take risk
 Capacity to see change as an opportunity

people won’t, so that you can spend the rest of your life like
most people cannot”
 “An entrepreneur need not necessarily mean one who is
running a commercial business, but also one who is
adventurous”
“A person who sets up a business or businesses, taking on
financial risks in the hope of profit”

4.  Social entrepreneurship
It is the attempt to draw upon business techniques to find
solutions to social problem
Example: Jaipur rugs, Ladakhi Women Travel company,
Muhammad Yunis
Small business Entrepreneurship
 It is a attempt to earn livelihood
example: grocery, consultant, travel agent etc
Large company entrepreneurship
large turn over
 example: google, apple, microsoft, toyota etc

6. Women Entrepreneurship
 Government of India has defined women entrepreneurs as
an enterprise owned and controlled by a women having a
minimum financial interest of 51% of the capital and giving
at least 51% of employment generated in the enterprise to
women

7. Problems
 Male-female competitions
 Family obligations
 Lack of the knowledge of entrepreneurial activities,
 Lack of the knowledge of alternative sources of raw
materials
 Lack of the knowledge of technological change
 Lack of risk taking attitude & Low level business
skills etc.

8. Rural Entrepreneur
 Rural Entrepreneur Succeeding as an entrepreneur and
an innovator in today’s world.
 Indian rural economy is also experiencing behavior of
entrepreneurial. Aim of most farmers is to earn profits
from farming as from any other business,
 There for entrepreneurship is not simply adoption of
new activity but it is transformation of a person from
traditional of modern.

11. SUGGESTION
 Govt. should provide robust & dynamic infrastructure
(transportation, power,fund)
 Flexible rules
 Increase in internet penetration among citizen
 Govt. should create innovative environment
 At least at college level there should be innovation
incubation centres
 E-cell development
 Encouragement of entrepreneurial culture
 Inclusion of technology
