Our Lady of Beautiful Love Parish was originally named Madre del Amor Hermoso or Mother of Fair Love by the Knights of Columbus council. When Merville was declared a parish two years later, the name was changed to Our Lady of Beautiful Love to match the Knights of Columbus council name. The parish was built up over 10 years from an initial chapel structure by the homeowners in the area. It has had several parish priests over time and focuses on youth ministry, social services, spiritual seminars, and counseling, along with organizations like the Legion of Mary and Catholic Women's League.

2. About my community…
 A community of disciples and renewed
families where everyone particularly
the men and the youth, takes role in the
parish, all parishioners are united as
loving caring, learning and sharing
community, socially aware and
prayerful.

3. How it was named as OLBL
 It was originally named Madre del Amor
Hermoso or Mother of Fair Love. The KC
Council changed it to Our Lady of Beautiful
Love and made it the Council’s name. When
Merville was declared a parish two years
later, it was decided by Fr. Eusebio and the
lay leaders to adopt the same name for the
Parish.

4.  Merville was considered part of the St. Andrew
Parish of the town of Paranaque but attached to the
St. Martin de Porres Parish of the older United
Paranaque Subdivision
 The homeowners decided to build studier and
permanent structure that was to serve as their
chapel.
 And then 10 years later, it was finally inaugurated as
a church.

7. Other Parish Organizations :
 Apostleship of Prayer in 1977 - responds to a contemporary
nature of action in matters of piety, service and commitment. It
purses the thrust of the AP mission, functioning as a family
under the paternity of God.
 Legion of Mary in 1982 - a legion for service in the warfare
against evil powers.
 Mother Butler Guild in 1985 - liturgical ministry and its service is
directed towards the celebration of the Eucharist.
 The Catholic Women’s League in 1985 aims at sanctification of
self and others in order to achieve the total development of self,
family and the community.
 The Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration association in 1986 –
promotes the devotion of a 24-hour vigil before the Blessed
Sacrament, the Eucharist being the Living Heart of the Church,
the source of all graces and love.
