A spiritual gift is
a supernatural ability,
given to a believer
at the time of salvation,
enabling him to minister
to the Body of Christ
in the area of that gift.
7. The Importance of Knowing
Your Gift…
• Give you direction in your ministry
• Give you confidence in your
ministry
BUT…if you are serving…
you will likely be SERVING in the
area of your gift…
even if you don’t know its name.
8. The Danger of Knowing
Your Gift…
• Spiritual pride!
• Neglecting other areas of service,
just because they aren’t “in your
gift.”
WE ALL have responsibilities
in the areas of ALL of the gifts!!!
9. How To Discover Your Gift…
• Dedication Romans 12:1-2.
• Description (Know what gifts are
available and how they act.)
• Desire (What do you want to
do? Philippians 2:13)
10. How To Discover Your Gift…
• Doing (Get some experience in
different areas. You will be able
to eliminate some and narrow it
down to a few.)
5. Delight (What do you enjoy
doing?)

6. Discernment by others (How do
others tell you that you have
blessed them?)
7. Development (Allow time for
growth of your ability to use your
gift.)
12. TWO LIMITATIONS OF
SPIRITUAL GIFTS...
1. You may not have the gift you
wanted! I Cor. 12:28-30.
2. Our church may not have the
gifts we wish it had, I Cor. 12:31;
14:1.
