Video Critique Guideline
1. Please view the video at this link:

2. The write-up should be about 5 to 8 pages (1.5 spacing, font size 12, New Times Roman, Calibri
or Arial).
3. In your write-up, attempt to answer the following questions and try to relate your answers
with what has been discussed in the module thus far (such as the topic on Instructional
Materials, Classroom Management etc.):
i. Did the teacher establish a suitable mood for learning, motivating students to learn, and
explaining the usefulness of the teaching session?
ii. Did the teacher introduce the session, outline the content, and set out the learning
objectives clearly?
iii. Did the teacher pace the session well, allowed time for questions and student
interaction?
iv. Did the teacher clarify any terminology used, summarise periodically and check the
students’ understanding?
v. Did the teacher use any resources (Powerpoint/slides/flipchart) and if so did they use
these effectively maintaining eye contact and interaction with their audience?
vi. At the end of the session did the teacher sum up the session, repeat the key learning
objectives and provide a sense of achievement to students?
vii. According to your observation and participation, what are advantages and disadvantages
in this lesson? Explain.
