This short presentation highlights some of the projects completed in the City of Newburgh including historic rehabilitation of rowhouse homes, the Washington Heights Community Center and Sakac Hall at Mount St. Mary College.

7. Liscum McCormack VanVoorhis Liscum McCormack VanVoorhis is currently engaged by Rural Opportunities, Inc., and the Historic Lander Street Apartments in the design and construction of an additional eighteen rowhouses at Lander and Chamber Streets.

Liscum McCormack VanVoorhis Completed in 2000, in coordination with Peter Smith Architecture of Newburgh, this adaptive re-use project transformed a deteriorating dairy -warehouse structure into a community center for student recreation and community group access in the heart of the Heights District.

18. Liscum McCormack VanVoorhis This five-story structure is was completed at the edge of the largest historic district in New York State. Accommodating 260 students, this facility anchors the College’s residence life program and is an asset to the City landscape with its detailed masonry façade and grand gabled roof.
