3. WHY eLF – e-Learning Fitness ? In the realm of Fitness: • several organizations have been established – with a national or international scope – and networked together • several successful projects took place in order to define contents and procedures and to implement them Still, today in most (EU) countries we lack: 1. a wide awareness of the key findings among decision makers, operators, public opinion 2. a wide acceptance of the procedures to implement the results 3. resources to feed these processes February 3-5, 2011
4. WHY a Dept. of Computer and System Sciences and a Faculty of Engineering? Not just IT: informatics brings in not just Technologies, but even Methodologies, useful – e.g. – for: 1. implementing and optimizing informational process (web x.0, social networking, search engines, CMS, ...), with special attention to e-Learning 2. modeling and analyzing business & organizational processes (WF models, BPM, ...) 3. measuring and improving effectiveness and efficiency of processes (KPI, DW & DM, ...)
