Problems of current surveys
v Mostly related to the test development itself
but not to the theoretical model
§ Perception: assess the emotion elicited in the
observer instead of the emotion showed.
- There is no task for assessing the expression of
emotion
§ Use: connection between performance of these
tasks, and the “using emotion” abilities is not clear.
§ Managing: There is not enough evidence for
whether and how theoretical knowledge is related
to one’s actual ability to manage emotions

What is the difference
MEIT
First “real MOBILE ability test”
Take advantage of DEVICES’ possibilities
More dynamic experience
Consider TiME
as a Variable
Bet/challenge users “gamification”

CONCLUSIONS
v MEIT is not an adaptation of MSCEIT, it is an
“evolution” in the EI assessment.
v MEIT is still “under construction.” We have
already done a lot of work but we need your
feed-back to carry on the development and
improve the final result.
v We are open to international projects and
collaborations with universities and/or
companies.
