Theatre Project - Bus Stop - Eric Flores Verdad - Director - Group 92
2. Jodi Foster as Grace. She would do
a great job since she is an
Academy Award winner for
Actress in a Leading Role. She’s in
her fifties as well.
Emma Watson as Elma.
She is young and a great
actress. I find her
personality similar to
Elma’s in the story.
3. Tommy Lee Jones as Will
the Sheriff. He’s got many
years of experience and he
has acted as sheriff in other
movies.
Scarlett Johansson as
Cherie. She is attractive
and classy.
Jack Nicholson as Dr.
Gerald Lyman. In my
opinion, he fits perfectly
the character. He is a great
actor and he can act as a
lunatic.
4. Pierce Brosnan as Carl the bus
driver. He is in his fifties and I
guess he would look “natty” in his
uniform just like the story
describes him.
Matthew McConaughey as Bo
Decker, the cowboy. He fits the
character: tall and slim. Matthew
has performed as a cowboy before.
5. Every character in the story has his
or her own reason to seek eagerly
for love in order to give meaning
to their lives and put an end to
their loneliness.
6. Bo is a very confident
guy. He is very proud
of what he does. He
has won many prizes
and awards. He has
never
experienced
rejection from a girl
before up until he met
Cherie.
Bo learned that in
order to make Cherie
fall in love with him,
he had to be a little
humble.
7. Grace is growing old and
she starts to feel lonely.
She is looking for a person
that keeps her company.
She is the owner of the
restaurant and has her own
apartment. She is looking
for love. In the story, she
falls in love with Carl, the
bus driver.
8. Elma is in a young stage of her life
where all she wants to do is learn.
In the story, she is very interested in
Dr. Gerald Lyman ideals of how to
live life with no strings attached.
Elma wants to explore the world
and keep on learning.
9. The way I
envision the
production of
the play:
Windy and
rainy day.
The
restaurant is
small, old,
and cozy.
A warmth
and
welcoming
sensation
inside the
place.
