The Hugh M. Culbertson chapter of PRSSA at Ohio University has 75 dues-paying members that meet weekly on Mondays at 6pm led by a 10 member executive board and faculty adviser Julie Tatge. The chapter runs programs like a Mentor/Mentee program pairing 60 members, hosts speakers, and attends the National Conference with 11 members. ImPRessions is an entirely student-run public relations firm based in Athens, Ohio.
The firm operates as a subsidiary of the Hugh M. Culbertson chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA).
The most important function of our firm is to provide students at Ohio University with real-world, professional experience that will prepare them for future internships and employment opportunities.
Leadership: more than 160 members (increase 60 members from last year). Each account has one or two account executives that lead 4-12 account associates. These executives are overseen by account supervisors, who monitor multiple accounts and serve in both a participatory and supervisory role on their respective accounts. The administration of the firm is handled by the Chief Executive Officer and two vice presidents.
16 clients (increase from 10 last year) -- provides organizations with valuable public relations services free of charge.
ImPRessions has served clients on the national and regional levels as well as local clients in Athens.
Examples: Bob Evans, Fleishman-Hillard campaigns, Cardinal Health as well as local non-profit and businesses, university magazines/entertainment organizations and even our E.W. Scripps School of Journalism just to name a few
