The ESB Group, Inc's engineers designed and integrated a complete sound and video system with Crestron programming to enhance worship at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, AL. ESB specializes in finding solutions for audio, video and lighting in churches, corporate settings, government projects and school settings.
2. COVENANT’S VISION
It was important to Covenant Presbyterian
Church to keep with the aesthetics of a
traditional sanctuary. Bringing in modern
audio and lighting technology was important,
but they did not want the equipment to
detract from the worship service.

3. It is priority for ESB to listen to a client’s concerns and find a suitable option to meet their
needs. We designed the speakers and other AVL equipment to visually blend with the beautiful
sanctuary. The custom audio system allows for modern AVL equipment to integrate well with
the style of Covenant Presbyterian Church.

9. Before I arrived, we only needed the occasional volunteer to help with a few microphones at the pulpit and the
piano. We wanted to add musical instruments on stage, soloists and better sound quality. Help was needed as the
project grew, such as a Tech Director on staff and ESB to add professional insight to our goals. They came in and
made the sound in the sanctuary come to life. Our congregation noticed right away with excitement!
ESB made sure the “dead spots” in the sanctuary could now be heard clearly. Many people wondered where the
speakers were installed because they could not see them! ESB also designed a new line for signal flow under the
stage, so all equipment could be utilized to its maximum potential. The initial project was basically a down-payment
for what our church envisions in the future, so scalability was kept in mind with the design.
