  4. 4. WHAT IS AN ETWINNING GROUP? Groups are virtual places where eTwinners meet and discuss about specific subjects, topics or other areas of interest. What is not an eTwinning group? It is not a tool to communicate with your project partners (use the TwinSpace for that) nor a partner finding forum. Any submissions for these purposes will be automatically rejected.

  7. 7. HOW CAN I JOIN GROUP? Take a look first! See what is already there! There are two types of eTwinning groups: 1. open to “any eTwinner” 2. open just to “eTwinners invited by administrators”.
  8. 8. HOW CAN I JOIN GROUP? 1. If the group is open to “any eTwinner” just go to the Group and click on the “join group” button that appears next to the group title, on the top right corner. 2. If the group is private, the administrator decides who belongs to the group, by invitation. You will receive the invitation to the group in your eTwinning Live notifications. You can accept/reject the invitation. 1 2
  9. 9. Featured groups
  10. 10. FEATURED GROUPS The eTwinning featured groups are groups sponsored by the Central Support Service and run by an eTwinner who followed the eTwinning Moderators’ Course with success. There are more than 10 featured groups on trending educational topics, which vary from language teaching and entrepreneurship in education to STEM or inclusive education.
  11. 11. FEATURED GROUPS One example of these eTwinning featured groups is the Virgilio group. It is aimed at newcomers. Run by eTwinning ambassadors, its main goal is to support the least experienced eTwinners and help them get started, through different quizzes, helpdesk forums and online events.

Objective: What is the main aim? What is your target group? What language will you use in the group? Is it a short or long term collaboration? Activities: What type of activities does your group need? For example: ice-breaking activities? ?
