2012 - Internet Focus Groups - Important Considerations
Flier - GAPSA 2012-2013
1. This upcoming year we hope to increase and improve
participation of graduate and professional students in
the governance and advocacy opportunities at the
University and State levels, especially working with our
Duluth members. I am passionate about improving
health services on campus, in collaboration with
Boynton Health Services, and in partnering with our
undergraduate counterpart, the Minnesota Student
Association (MSA).
Open Access and Open Textbooks are also big issues
across the Big Ten, and is a Federal issue of concern to
our student body. Cost and debt burden are ongoing
issues as well, and I look forward to finding ways to
advocate on those matters when possible. It is 2012-2013 Goals
important to find ways to share best practices and “To throw a pot of spaghetti
collaborate across colleges and programs. The thing (myriad policies to improve
that excites me most about student governance is that graduate and professional life)
every day I learn something new about the University, at the wall (University of
Minnesota governance
which I am in a position to share with my fellow
structure) and see what sticks
students, to improve our common experience.
(actions accomplished).”
