• Monitoring

11. XenApp Installation Decisions
During the installation of XenApp, the administrator must
make decisions concerning:
• Components
• Web Interface
• Citrix Licensing
• XenApp

12. XenApp Installation
• XenApp can be installed manually, through an .MSI
package with a transform file or an answer file, or
from a command line
• Most servers that can run Windows Server 2008 meet
the hardware requirements for XenApp 5.0
• XenApp components can be distributed among
various servers and have varying software
requirements

13. Installing XenApp
• XenApp installation occurs in stages with each stage
beginning automatically when the previous stage
completes
• Not all components are required on all servers
• An administrator can choose which stages to
complete and which components to install
• If a component fails to install, the installation
continues
• An administrator can install additional components
after the installation completes
