films of single language, making up to 700 English language films per year.
Hollywood is a said to be the earliest film industry wheremany new film studios
and production companies emerged. Itis also the birth place to many genre of
the cinema like action, drama, comedy, musical, romanceetc. OverallHollywood
is the oldest film industry and it has been setting an example for other national
filming industries.

The major film studios of Hollywood are the primary sourceof the most
commercially successfuland mostticket selling movies in the world. Its main
distributers are Walt Disney (38.5%),warner bros (13.4%), universal(12.7%).
Hollywood makes movies based on various genres, they makemovies for all the
age groups froma 1 year old to 60 years old. They make movies that people can
relate to and this is whatattracts people. That is the mostappealing thing about
Hollywood becauseit does not only focusses on any one age group, the entire
generation can relate to their movies.
-WHATKIND OF GENRES MAKE MOST OF THE MONEY AND ATTRACT YOUNG
GENERATION?
Fromthe year 1917 to 1960, the era is known as the golden era for Hollywood
because that is when it earned a lot of fame and many people were interested in
investing and buying. But now as the time has passed, the world has evolved and
now people have differentlifestyle, and they may not be able to relate to the
movie that was made in early 1900s. So as thegeneration has evolved, Hollywood
has evolved too, they make movies and TV series that help the new generation
understand moreabout world. They choosetheir genres accordingly, it can be
drama, horror, thriller, comedy, suspenseetc. So the movies that attract the

young generations the ones that help Hollywood grow in many ways, it also
increases the number of people choosing Hollywood over other filming industries.
And this shows thatHollywood is growing rapidly.
