Working Title: Galaxy Clothing
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Audience:
My main audience would be teenagers which are males because they type of clothing is aimed
more towards the younger generation as a teenager classifies as 15-24 years old and with
choosing male as the main gender for my clothing would have to be that I know most about male
clothing compared to female clothing also with my survey which I have made there is 68.18%
which are male and 31.82% that are female and also I could make a unisex article of clothing
which suits both female and males which I think would be a good idea, but with my actual branding
although I have said that the main gender is male I will also have a female for the modelling
section of the photography. With the social status of my audience I will mainly aim towards B and
C1 which is are middle class and lower middle class which are the majority of the population which
is good for me as these people have the access to buy clothing at any point in time that they want
to and also as some of my audience are students they go into the category of what class their
parents are. Alongside social status there is the psychographic which I feel like my audience would
be Emulators because they want to attract the opposite sex and also have the approval of their
peers, I don’t think that it that bad to be an emulator because the majority of people are emulators
as they want to be more successful to the opposite sex and their friends. Also with my clothing
brand the sexuality will not matter because they will not be any kind of imagery which will be
homophobic and also the main audience which I think I will have would be heterosexual, bisexual
and gay or lesbian.
Rationale:
Throughout this year I have learnt a lot of new things which I didn’t know beforehand the main
would have to be using Photoshop because I had never used Photoshop before this course which
is something which I am thankful that I learnt to use and this is one skill which I wanted to learn a
lot as I had seen effects on Photoshop before on the internet and have always wanted to learn
how to do them and this course has given me the ability to do something which I wanted to do,
also another skill which I have learnt would be editing on premiere pro which although I am not the
best at I can still say that I have given it a go and I really didn’t like it because the products which I
have made during the film rotation where not the best which I could do and, also the same kind of
thing which I have learnt to do would be making and animation on Photoshop because I didn’t
realise that you had the ability to make an animation on Photoshop. With this course the things
which I have learnt have really changed the choice for my FMP because before the print rotation I
was planning on doing a video game but with the print rotation it really focused on things which I
had wanted to do before which was focusing on Photoshop because we had to made different
things which included effects on our photography and making a front cover which was my favourite
part of any of the rotations because it is the most interesting. The direct impact which this course
has had on is very big because I came into this course wanting to design which I have done for the
majority of the rotations but the things which I have designs throughout the different rotations have
changed because they have gotten better with each rotation as I have learnt new things in each
rotation which have made my designs better.
Project Concept:
The concept for my project is to make a clothing brand which relates to something that I like which
would be the galaxy because I like the different designs which are there are and the vibrancy of
them, which is something which I am planning on adding onto my product because I am hoping to
include subtle branding and also obvious branding because I don’t know to have only one design
so If I am able to make multiple designs I will because I will have two different designs and also I
will try and get both a male and a female for the photography and modelling section of my FMP as
I don’t want to segregate my audience depending on their gender. With the designs, which I have
thought about are very different compared to each other because with the first design which I have
thought of which will have subtle branding will have the brand at the bottom left hand side because
I want to leave the top of the t-shirt plain white as I think that it will look very nice because at the
same time as having the subtle branding I will try an add a design at the bottom half of the t-shirt
because I don’t want leave the whole t-shirt empty because it will look like I haven’t put any effort

into which I don’t want it to look like that. Then the second idea which I have come up with has
obvious branding on the side of the body of the wearer as it will be underneath the arms because I
haven’t really seen any other branding which Is done like that, the reason that I want to make this
design because I want to have something which stands out to the audience and will attract them to
buy it, also with this design I will have a galaxy pattern inside of the text which I think will look very
nice and also I will have to make up my own font for these clothes and if I have enough time I will
try and make separate fonts for each individual article of clothing. And also with the modelling
section of my work I will try and make sure that the two-different people which I will make the
models for my clothing will be shot from different angles and different positions which they are in,
the reason that I want to do this because I don’t want them to be repetitive so with each article of
clothing I will have many different types of shots and angles and then I will go into Photoshop and
edit them and add effects which I find interesting. The research which I have made will help my
product because I have looked at many different brands and the kind of work which they produce
which some of it is very similar to each other in the fact that they are very simple in the design
aspect but although they are very simple they are quite expensive, so the main thing which I will
take from the research would be that I would need to make multiple different designs as well as
different angles for each piece of clothing. Also with the effects which I will do the colour scheme
which I will use will be based around the models favourite colour as I want the effect to link to the
model and what they like.

Evaluation:
With the evaluation section of my work I will plan on evaluating it at the end of each week because
otherwise I will forget what I had done for the previous week and also doing it weekly gives be the
ability to put a lot of detail into what I have done for the full week, and also another way which I will
evaluate my work will be by having different people’s perspectives on the work which I have
created because as they are many different people they will have varied opinions on the things
which they like about it and the section of my product which they don’t like or could be improved.
Finally, another way of evaluation would be that for the production week we have to continue our
Development diaries by we have to put them into a pro forma which will kind of act as the week by
week evaluation. With the Final Self-reflection, I will make sure that I try and evaluate my work
compared to existing professional products, which are of a high standard the reason which I feel
like this would be a good thing to compare it to existing products because as it is professional work
they will be really good.

 For this first week, we started off by thinking of
something w hich we wantedto do for our FMP w hich I
chose clothing as it is something w hich Ihave a
strong passion for, and could see myself doing
something similar in the future.
2 Product + Audience
Research
 For the Audience Research, I started off by going
onto a w ebsite called surveymonkey and making a
survey which was relevant to my product and once I
had done this I sent it to a select number of people for
their answ ers, then I moved onto adding them to my
Pow erPoint and talking about the different things
w hich this says about my audience.
3 Production
Experiments
 For w eek3 I started by going through different things
w hich willhelp for my FMP w hich Ibegan w ith
different effectsand photography, the main section
w hich Iexperimented w ith would have to be the

4 Pre-Production and

 For the pre-production, Iw illneed to gather all of the
different things w hich are needed for example the
photos and different materials w hich are needed for
example the clothing w hich Iw illscreen print on my
design. Also w ith the planning section for this I w illtry
and get things w hich Iam hoping to include in my
w orkfor example the colour scheme of my design and
also the flat plans for t-shirt w hich Iw illhave to design
and also the style sheet w hich willinclude the colour
scheme and the flat plans.
5 Production  For the initial w eekof production, Iw illtry out different
designs w hich Iw illmake of Photoshop and w ith
these designs I w illtry and get peoples feedbackon
each individual design because I w ant the best
outcome for any design and w ant to make sure that
the audience like w hat Icome up w ith.
6 Production  For the second w eekof production I am going to
again go w ith designing new designs forthe t-shirts
w hich Iw illbe making, the reason w hich Iw illbe
making multiple designs because I w ant to make sure
that I have design w hich Iactually like.
7 Production  For this w eek, Iw illstart by selecting a design or
designs w hich Ilike and I w illstart by doing the
screen printing on the different articles of clothing
because I don’t w ant to leave it to the end of the
production w eeks. At the end of the w eekI w illstart
my photography as I need to make sure that my
clothing is made before the photography.
8 Production  For the finalw eekof production, I w illcontinue on our
photography as I need to make sure that I have the
images before I move onto adding effects to the
photos in Photoshop.

as much effort into it as possible to improve the grade
