My main research work is in the areas of computational intelligence (neural networks, evolutionary computation), computer vision, and image processing. All this expertise is applied in a varierty of solutions for person-environment interaction, technologies for active and assisted living, intelligent environments, and economic analysis.
Over the years, I have been the project manager/principal investigator of different European, national and regional projects in the application of computer vision to smart homes.
