● Target learners: KINDERGARTEN
● Subject area: SCIENCE
● The lesson plan provided teaches children the basics to the human skeleton.
3. Differentiated Learning
● The images provided in the lesson plan are very basic; the images depict the
arm, ribs and spine, and the leg.
○ I will have students point to the body part shown in each slide.
○ Children will add onto the picture by stating what other body parts are connected to the image
shown in the slide, eg. arm, hand, fingers.
4. Universal Design
● This lesson supports universal design because it incorporates a SMART
Board, and allows the students to interact with technology.
● Students will be encouraged to get out of their seats and point to the body
parts referenced in each slide.
○ This involves the bodily kinesthetic learners, and hands on learners.
5. Incorporating Lesson in the Classroom
● Students will be given a sheet of paper that has the skeleton, with blank spaces the student will fill in
throughout the lesson.
● I will pull up the lesson and tell students we will be learning about the skeleton. The students will be
informed they will be moving along with the lesson, and they will be encouraged to point to their
body and shout out answers.
● The children will be expected to come up to the board and drag/drop correlating words and pictures.
