A music magazine is a magazine dedicated to music and music culture. Such magazines typically

What content would you expect to find in a music magazine?
Articles about pop singers and how they became famous. Record reviews, interviews, photo shoot
pictures. This type of magazine would also include information about when singers are next doing a
concert and how to get your tickets in advance. From this magazine you would also expect there to
be big fonts used, so it will appeal to the target audience.
What images would you expect to find in a music magazine?
This magazine will include images of the lead singer as it will attract the target audience. Also this
magazine will include snap shots of videos as it will intrigue the target audience and encourage them
to buy the magazine as they will want to find out more. On the front cover there would be expect to
be a main image of a well-known singer of that genre, using direct mode of address. This will entice
the reader. I would also expect props such as instruments. All these things will prompt them to buy
the magazine.

In a music magazine I would expect all the codes and conventions included in it, these are things
such as, a colour scheme, masthead, main image, strap lines, cover mounts and puffs. This will
engage the target audience as the features make the magazine look more attractive. The magazine
would be expected to have big fonts and, bright colours. In all magazines you will have mise en sense

their money in exchange for a chance at winning a prize which would be
a product or a holiday for example, publishers often use emotinal
manipulation in order to pursuade the reader to
part from their money.
