Botanica, an offshoot of the word botanical, relating to the science of plant life. Surreal paintings from over 25 artists that depict growth, development and death united with characters and objects from differing cultures, times and locations. Artists such as Dan May, Jason Limon, Scott Scheidly, Joe Vaux, and Nathan Spoor will be producing artwork for Botanica. These artists have been featured in and on the cover the likes of Juxtapoze, Hi-Fructose, and other nationally and internationally published magazines. Scott Scheidly (www.flounderart.com) who resides in Orlando, Florida is curating Botanica. Scheidly is a friend and colleague of John Josef, owner of Genome Gallery.
