4. Here’s how I created my
image riddle!

5. Step 1: Insert Your Picture
• Your first picture will be the close up and the
second one will be the larger image
• Go to INSERT on the top menu bar and click
PICTURE
• Next, find the folder with your name on it
• Select your picture and click INSERT
6. Step 2: Position Your Picture
• Move the position of your picture by clicking
on it once
• Then you can use the mouse to put it in the
right place.

7. Option: Change the Size
• Click on your picture
• Go to the corner and find the double-sided
arrow
• Now you can change the size and keep its
original shape
– If it gets too fuzzy,
make it smaller

8. Option: Crop Your Picture
• Cropping your picture allows you to focus in
on one part of it or cut other parts out
– Click on your picture
– Go to Picture Tools on the top of your screen and
pick CROP

9. Last steps: Add Text and Design
Background
• You will need to add a text box in order to
include words over your picture
– Go to INSERT and click on TEXT BOX
– Position your text box and then type in it
• You can also change the background color of
your slide (optional)
– Go to DESIGN, then BACKGROUND STYLES, and
then FORMAT BACKGROUND
REMEMBER TO SAVE!!!
10. Creating your image detective slides
• Insert picture
– Locate picture in folder (look on desktop for your name)
• Position picture
• Click on picture and drag (arrow turns into cross)
• Size it (optional)
• Click on picture, grab corner and make it smaller or bigger (two-sided
arrow will keep it proportional)
• Crop picture (optional)
– Select picture, select crop tool from drawing tools
– Crop side
• Insert text box, position it and add text (check text size)
• Options – color background
