Asexual reproduction allows organisms to reproduce without combining genetic material from two parents. There are several types of asexual reproduction including binary fission in single-celled organisms, budding in hydra and yeast where new individuals pop out of the parent, spore formation in plants, algae and fungi, and vegetative reproduction in plants through runners, rhizomes, tubers, bulbs or grafting to form new individuals without seeds or spores.
