you cannot break dow certain parts of proteins. The urine of
someone with this disorder can smell like maple syrup.

physical stress. Things can also get bad if someone goes without
eating for a long period of time.

Maple Syrup Urine Disease is a gene defect. People with this
disease cannot break dow certain amino acids causing a buildup
of these in the blood stream.

Some test to take to see if someone has this disease are the
Plasma Amino Acid Test, and the Urine Amino Acid Test.
Some complications of this disease are Neurological Damage,
Coma, or even Death.
10. Treatment
Treatment for this disease, if caught early, involves a protein-
free diet.
Fluids, sugars, and fats can be given through an IV.
11. Expectations
Even when this disease is being treated, people can still have
outbreaks in stressful situations, and death can occur in these
outbreaks.
