To perspective Canton Fair Attendees:

I am Gary Young, president of Avela Corporation and long time Vistage member. I would like to personally
invite you to attend our Executive Canton Fair, Shanghai and Beijing tour this April 10th through the 21st. This
tour is design to give you the best perspective possible of what China is all about while only taking 8 working
days plus 2 weekends to minimize time away from your business. But why attend such a trip now, when the
economy is so down, budgets are so tight and time is so important? Three reasons.

First; with the economy down, now might be a perfect time to discover what China has to offer. And there is
no better way to find out than to attend the Canton Fair. You will be stunned at the size of the fair and the
variety of products offered. It is a real eye opener that can only be seen in person to fully appreciate.

Second; having attended the fair for over 8 years now, I am continually amazed by the number of new idea
that are generated for my client’s after attending. The creativity and stimulation of being at the Canton Fair is
a major factor in why I and tens of thousands attend each session.

Third, I strongly believes that China is a force to be understood and incorporated in our business plans. As
either a source for products and services, a huge market opportunity or China as a competitor, China simply
can not be ignored. And there is no better way to get a handle on all things China, as it relates to your com-
pany, than to go to the Canton Fair. Even if you are a service company and would not directly buy from
China, chances are that your customers may, and personal knowledge of China could help you dealing with
your clients, potential clients and their future needs.

The quality and value of this trip, combined with the subsequent tours to Shanghai and Beijing is unmatched
to anything I have ever seen offered. We have gone to great pains to insure you have a first rate experience.
Please read on to discover all the details. Then come join us on the trip of a lifetime.

Sincerely,

Gary Young

Avela Corporation is a Houston-based company with a representative
office in Shanghai. With 8 years of experience providing business
opportunities for our clients we have developed substantial expertise
in how to address the multifaceted challenges of working in China.
We are now offering a Canton / Guangzhou Trade Fair and China
Tour as a way to introduce potential clients to business opportunities
in China. Our goal is to provide each attendee with every possible
opportunity to develop relationships with Chinese companies.

Our Canton Fair is designed to get you to where the rubber meets the
road in China. We are serious about your coming away with tangible
value from your trip. There is no better introduction to manufacturing
in China than to attend the world famous Guangzhou or Canton Trade
Fair. Avela will do everything possible to facilitate relationships with
                                          factories during your trip.
This is an opportunity to see what China has to offer your business; to
possibly open up serious relationships with factories in China.

Typical “Trade Missions” stress meetings with local government offi-
cials. At some point this may be valuable, but it is a waste of time dur-
ing an introductory trip to China.
Typical “Trade Missions” stress understanding the culture by offering
“tours” that are run by agencies who maximize their profit with tours of
rug, pearl, art and silk factories, in the guise of a cultural experience.
They really want you to buy merchandise so they can receive a “com-
mission”. This is a real time-waster for people interested in under-
                                          standing business in China.

                                              • A serious introduction to Chinese business culture.
                                              • Superior experience at the fair that you control.
                                              • A great adventure in the most dynamic country on the planet.
                                              • A mind blowing exposure to Chinaʼs vast manufacturing base.

                                  Bund Sightseeing Tunnel- (Kitchy)
                                  http://www.travelpod.com/ad/Bund_Sightseeing_Tunnel-Shanghai
It must have been a rather intoxicated, ok, totally doped person that designed this
small tunnel under the Huangpu river. You enter a small cable car and guided by
house music you are thrilled with colorful lightbeams, waving puppets and suddenly
disappearing movie screens. Strange as it may sound, it is rather enjoyable and an
efficient way to get to Pudong, once you have seen the view from the Puxi side.

The Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai is one of the world's great towers. The spheres hang in the
sky like perfect pearls, reflecting in the Huangpu River they seem perfectly at home amid the
lush green surroundings. In fact, the tower is the host of eleven spheres, or pearls, that appear
to be dropping from the sky onto a jade plate; two very traditional, very Chinese,
                                  precious elements.

Shanghai World Financial Center is Shanghai new landmark along with the Oriental
Pearl TV Tower and Jinmao Tower. It takes about 1 minute from first floor to 95th
by the elevator with a speed of 10 meters per second. The observation bridge (with a
glass floor) atop the building is the second highest observation deck in the world.

Avela Corporation Offers Canton Fair and China Tour

  • 1. 4500 Caroline Houston, Texas 77004 A4, 22/F Harvest Building No.585 Long Hua Road (We s t ) , Xu Hui District Shanghai 200023 China (713) 807-7900 Fax: (713) 610-3787 E-Mail: corporate@avela.com Web Site: www.avela.com To perspective Canton Fair Attendees: I am Gary Young, president of Avela Corporation and long time Vistage member. I would like to personally invite you to attend our Executive Canton Fair, Shanghai and Beijing tour this April 10th through the 21st. This tour is design to give you the best perspective possible of what China is all about while only taking 8 working days plus 2 weekends to minimize time away from your business. But why attend such a trip now, when the economy is so down, budgets are so tight and time is so important? Three reasons. First; with the economy down, now might be a perfect time to discover what China has to offer. And there is no better way to find out than to attend the Canton Fair. You will be stunned at the size of the fair and the variety of products offered. It is a real eye opener that can only be seen in person to fully appreciate. Second; having attended the fair for over 8 years now, I am continually amazed by the number of new idea that are generated for my client’s after attending. The creativity and stimulation of being at the Canton Fair is a major factor in why I and tens of thousands attend each session. Third, I strongly believes that China is a force to be understood and incorporated in our business plans. As either a source for products and services, a huge market opportunity or China as a competitor, China simply can not be ignored. And there is no better way to get a handle on all things China, as it relates to your com- pany, than to go to the Canton Fair. Even if you are a service company and would not directly buy from China, chances are that your customers may, and personal knowledge of China could help you dealing with your clients, potential clients and their future needs. The quality and value of this trip, combined with the subsequent tours to Shanghai and Beijing is unmatched to anything I have ever seen offered. We have gone to great pains to insure you have a first rate experience. Please read on to discover all the details. Then come join us on the trip of a lifetime. Sincerely, Gary Young President, Avela Corporation
  • 2. Helping U.S. companies source products and services in China. Avela Corporation is a Houston-based company with a representative office in Shanghai. With 8 years of experience providing business opportunities for our clients we have developed substantial expertise in how to address the multifaceted challenges of working in China. We are now offering a Canton / Guangzhou Trade Fair and China Tour as a way to introduce potential clients to business opportunities in China. Our goal is to provide each attendee with every possible opportunity to develop relationships with Chinese companies. Our Canton Fair is designed to get you to where the rubber meets the road in China. We are serious about your coming away with tangible value from your trip. There is no better introduction to manufacturing in China than to attend the world famous Guangzhou or Canton Trade Fair. Avela will do everything possible to facilitate relationships with factories during your trip. This is an opportunity to see what China has to offer your business; to possibly open up serious relationships with factories in China. Typical “Trade Missions” stress meetings with local government offi- cials. At some point this may be valuable, but it is a waste of time dur- ing an introductory trip to China. Typical “Trade Missions” stress understanding the culture by offering “tours” that are run by agencies who maximize their profit with tours of rug, pearl, art and silk factories, in the guise of a cultural experience. They really want you to buy merchandise so they can receive a “com- mission”. This is a real time-waster for people interested in under- standing business in China. • A serious introduction to Chinese business culture. • Superior experience at the fair that you control. • A great adventure in the most dynamic country on the planet. • A mind blowing exposure to Chinaʼs vast manufacturing base. • A personalized tour of the Canton Fair Shanghai and Beijing. Contact: Gary Young- young@avela.com
  • 3. You will have built in freedom and flexibility to control your experience. • We can arrange a private translator if you want to travel to a factory outside the fair. • There will be a nightly group debriefing and consultation by Avela Staff. • You can opt to travel with your translator to do factory tours during any part of the trip. • 4. Helping U.S. companies source products and services in China. Bund Sightseeing Tunnel- (Kitchy) http://www.travelpod.com/ad/Bund_Sightseeing_Tunnel-Shanghai It must have been a rather intoxicated, ok, totally doped person that designed this small tunnel under the Huangpu river. You enter a small cable car and guided by house music you are thrilled with colorful lightbeams, waving puppets and suddenly disappearing movie screens. Strange as it may sound, it is rather enjoyable and an efficient way to get to Pudong, once you have seen the view from the Puxi side. Oriental Pearl TV and Radio Tower- http://travel.yahoo.com/p-travelguide-2761838-oriental_pearl_tv_tower_shanghai-i The Oriental Pearl Tower in Shanghai is one of the world's great towers.
