  3. 3. How do children sleep around the world? Her name is Jasmine but people call her “Jazzy”. She lives with her parents and three brothers in a big house in the countryside. She has a nice room. It is full of crowns she won in child beauty pageants. Participating in a pageant costs $1,000. “She is like a princess”, her mum says. When she grows up, Jazzy would like to be a rock star.   4. 4. Prena is 14-year-old. She is a domestic worker in Kathmandu, Nepal. She works 13 hours everyday (from 5 in the morning to 6 in the afternoon) and she earns $6.50 a month. She uses all this money to help her family. She sleeps in a tiny, cell-like space at the top of her employer's house. She goes to school three times a week. She dreams of becoming a doctor one day.

Her parents sleep on the bed. She shares the mattress with her siblings.

Erlen was 12 and 13 years old during her previous pregnancies, but she lost both babies shortly after their births. If her new baby survives, she won’t go back to school. She wants to be a vet.
