Grade of Penteli Junior High School.

In the past week, the majority of the students had breakfast
every day. Only a 10% did not have breakfast at all.

and poultry twice a week. For the
30% thrice a week is also a choice.
• The most common snacks for our
fellow students are fruits or
vegetables. Crisps are not such a
popular choice for a snack
(only 10%).

eat twice a week. For 13 out of 100 students, four times a week is
also a habit.
•At school, students usually buy
cheese pie and water from the school
canteen. Fruit is chosen less regularly
as a school snack (only by 2% of the
students).

Almost half of the students exercise daily!
Only 2% answered never.
Although a great percentage (almost 50%) of the students
thought that unhealthy food plays a big role in their daily
routine, the results of the survey show that most of the
students have quite healthy eating habits:
Half of the students have a good breakfast every day, while
their preferred snacks are fruit and vegetables, consumed
almost daily by the majority!
What’s more, almost all students take some kind of exercise,
with half of them exercising on a daily basis.
Of course, there is always room for improvement!

Teenagers' eating habits

  • 1. Created and conducted in December 2016 by the students of the advanced 3rd Grade English group. Subjects were the students of the 2nd and 3rd Grade of Penteli Junior High School.
  • 2. Never : 10% 1 day : 2% 2 days: 15% 3-4 days: 25% Every day 48% During the Past 7 days ,how many times did you eat breakfast? In the past week, the majority of the students had breakfast every day. Only a 10% did not have breakfast at all.
  • 3. 30% of the students ate vegetables almost every day (4-6 times) during the past 7 days. Only 7% of the students didn’t eat any vegetables. Never :7% 2 times 35% 4-6 times 30% 1 time 20% 3 times 8% During the past 7 days how often did you eat Vegetables?
  • 4. • 50% of the students have meat and poultry twice a week. For the 30% thrice a week is also a choice. • The most common snacks for our fellow students are fruits or vegetables. Crisps are not such a popular choice for a snack (only 10%).
  • 5. Never : 3% 1 time 22% 4-6 times 45% 2 times 20% 3 times 10% During the past 7 days how often you eat Fruit? 45% of the students in our school ate fruit 4-6 times during the past week. Only 3% of the students did not have any fruit.
  • 6. Every day 22% twice a week 27% Thrice a week 35% Four times a week 13% I NEVER EAT SWEETS 3% 35% of the students eat sweets three times a week. 27% of them eat twice a week. For 13 out of 100 students, four times a week is also a habit.
  • 7. •At school, students usually buy cheese pie and water from the school canteen. Fruit is chosen less regularly as a school snack (only by 2% of the students).
  • 8. Breakfast 28% Lunch 64% Dinner 8% Which is the most important meal for you? Lunch is considered by far the most important meal of the day for 64% of the students.
  • 9. Every Day 46%2-3 times a week 42% Once a week 10% Never 2% How often do you exercise? Almost half of the students exercise daily! Only 2% answered never.
  • 10. Although a great percentage (almost 50%) of the students thought that unhealthy food plays a big role in their daily routine, the results of the survey show that most of the students have quite healthy eating habits: Half of the students have a good breakfast every day, while their preferred snacks are fruit and vegetables, consumed almost daily by the majority! What’s more, almost all students take some kind of exercise, with half of them exercising on a daily basis.
  • 11. Of course, there is always room for improvement!
