1. 29 November 2011 to 1 December 2011, 1st IT Forum in
Geneva
Simpler, Faster, Better through Information Technology
Overview
The 1st ISO IT Forum will be held in Geneva on the 29th and 30th of November 2011. Optional training sessions, open to any
participants, will be held on 1st December 2011. The Forum provides an important opportunity to:
Discuss ITrelated trends that raise new paradigms or opportunities that standards organisations should consider as we think
about our customers, our products and our processes.
Understand more about the technologybased products and services that ISO offers, the projects underway to develop new
products for customers, to build new products and to shorten development times.
Contribute to the achievement of ISO’s Strategic Objectives by giving your feedback on IT priorities and plans.
Exchange information and build contacts with your ISO colleagues amongst the membership and ISO Central Secretariat.

Participation
The Forum is open to anyone in the ISO Community. We welcome the participation of members of our technical committees
who use our IT services as well as Member Body staff who work in Marketing, Sales, Publishing, Standards Development and
IT. We have introduced a small registration fee of 100 CHF to try to reduce costs associated with planning for people who
register to attend but then don't. In some ISO events the drop out rate has been as high as 30%. The fee will partially cover the
costs of the refreshments, lunches and dinner provided at the Forum.
Registration for the Forum is now closed. For further information, please email us at ITForum2011@iso.org
Venue and Hotel Accommodation
The Forum will be held at the Mövenpick Hotel. The Hotel is very close to the Geneva airport with good access by public
6. transport to the centre of the town. ISO CS has reserved a limited number of rooms at the Hotel at a preferential rate of 280
CHF/night (including breakfast & wifi access) for participants in the Forum.
Please remember to book your Hotel
Registering for the conference does not reserve a Hotel Room. If you wish to stay at the venue for the Forum please make
your booking as soon as possible by completing the Mövenpick Hotel Reservation Form and emailing/faxing it to the
hotel. As some of you know, finding hotel accommodation at a reasonable rate can sometimes be very difficult in Geneva!
