Even as more & more Global Corporates Adopt Offshore Model… Goldman Sachs, September 2005 “ we continue to expect a robust demand backdrop for offshore services over the next two years which should drive sustained growth of at least 25%-30%. In our opinion, the predominant factor driving growth is the continued adoption of the offshore model, which by our estimates continues to be low. From a client IT budget perspective, our estimates suggest that that the offshore model has penetrated less than 10% of Global 500 (G-500) IT budgets for core application maintenance and development work.” Leveraging Offshore Model = Delivering Greater Shareholder Value through Smart Sourcing

Wipro Break-up is for Full Year 2004-05: If we look at where NASSCOM targets India’s export distribution to be, Custom apps is expected to grow at CAGR 0f 21% while Consulting & IS outsourcing are expected to grow at 64% each. Package implementation expected to grow by 52% The challenge for Indian companies going forward will be in building skill sets in these areas & executing them remotely Wipro is well guarded against commoditization through a wider array of service lines…we not only have the skill sets but also revenue streams & reference-able customers for each of our service lines
One key behavior that permeates through the organization is "quality". The Q-cult within has helped Wipro scale prestigious certifications, including being the world's first company to be awarded CMMi Level 5. Our Six Sigma adoption is viewed with great seriousness from Chairman to new entrant going through mandatory induction into quality processes.
