2. DOMINANT REPRESENTATION
My music magazine presents a dominant
representation of young people, within their social
group. For example, they are represented as
fun, drunk teenagers, who are young, so they are
living their lives as teenagers, which is a stereotype
people have given to young people today.
4. PEOPLE PRESENTED IN MY MEDIA PRODUCT
• Young people are being represented dominantly to the current
stereotypes of young people. They are exactly the same. The young
people I am presenting in my media product, the typical stereotypes
nowadays are exactly the same as the people I have used for my
media product.
5. EMERGENT IDEOLOGY
The dominant ideology of teenagers today is that all
young people seen to be lazy, up to no good, like to
party all the time, drinking a lot every night, and
lacking respect to adults. However, In some respect
it is becoming emergent ideology that young people
are actually talented, and have future plans. In my
media product, they might like to party all night, but
they do go to college in the week to learn, and so
they do have plans for the future. But that might not
be the case at weekends.
