A shaft supported by two bearings is shown in the
figure below. The shaft carries vertical, horizontal and
axial load. The axial load is 125 lb in the direction
shown. The shaft runs at 350 rpm and operates 10
hours per day for 5 days per week. Select a suitable
ball bearing with a service life of 2 years if the
diameter of the shaft can be varied between 20 and 45
mm. take factor of safety = 2.5
