1. ACSI Activities and Awards
Milpitas Christian School, an accredited member
of the Association of Christian Schools
International (ACSI), partners with local Christian
schools to showcase the skills of our students.
Piano Festival – January 18, 2020 (Salinas, CA).
Each student memorizes an approved selection at his/her
own level of participation and performs before an
adjudicator. The festival is not a competition: each student
is judged against a standard of excellence and not in
comparison with other students.
Spelling Bee – January 25, 2020 (Alameda, CA).

ACSI Student Activities events are chaired by
Christian school administrators and teachers
who volunteer their time and skills to make

Writing Festival – February 19, 2020
(Bermuda Dunes, CA). The ACSI Creative
Writing Festival provides the opportunity for
young authors to have their work evaluated
by judges. All work is submitted by mail;
students do not travel.

ACSI Run-Off Bee
After the grade level competition the 1st - 4th place
winners of each grade level competed against each
other for the Run-Off Bee. There were only 16
students in this final competition and 5 of them were
from MCS. Madison C. finished 6th (alternate).
ACSI Regional Bee – February 25, 2020
(Pasadena, CA). Madison C. finished 16th of 73
participants.

Math Olympics
The ACSI Math Olympics challenges students in two
categories: Arithmetic Computation and
Mathematical Reasoning. Students in grades three
through eight (3–8), compete with students in their
own grade level. Canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19.

The ACSI Art Festival brings together the work of student
artists who have placed at their school’s own art festival.
Each exhibit should demonstrate a student’s ability in
applying their God-given skill in using appropriate
techniques for their chosen medium.

Elementary Speech Meet
