Korean government scholarship
1. The Korean Government Scholarship Program for International Students for an Undergraduate Degree is
now open for applications! There are two (2) slots available for the Philippines. Qualifications are:
1. Filipino citizen
2. Should be under 25 years of age as of March 1, 2012
3. Have adequate health, both physically & mentally
4. Have graduated or be scheduled to graduate from a high school as of March 1, 2012
5. Must possess above 80% (out of 100%) cumulative grade point average during their entire high
school period
6. Must not have enrolled in an undergraduate course in Korea before
7. Must have no limitations in travelling abroad
8. They may be preferential selection for applicants who have proficiency in Korean or English
Required Documents are (1 set of the original documents below, and 3 sets of the photocopied ones
(except recommendation letters should be submitted as sealed by the recommenders):
1. One completed application form (Form 1)
2. One NIIED Pledge (Form 2)
3. One Personal Statement (Form 3)
4. One Study Plan (Form 4)
• 2 recommendation letters (Form 5) from High School teacher or principal, or academic
advisor, etc.
5. One personal medical assessment (Form 6)
6. One Graduation Certificate of High School
7. One High School Grade Transcripts
8. Certificates of Citizenship of the Applicant and his/her parents
9. One Certificate of Korean or English Proficiency (if applicable)
10. One certificate of Health authorized by a medical doctor (Form 7)
