Integrations via OSLC
RDNG is more than RM. It includes planning capabilities, workitems, and even views into quality managements
Other applications can exist on the Jazz Team Server- either IBM or what our customers build
Because of this, administration is broken in two:
the Jazz Team Server side which has admininstration of licenses, users, setting up friend relationships and other
The project side, which allows individual users to be part of the project, sets up the type system and so forth.
Projects can be RM or other
All artifacts can be organized in folders. They exist at the project level. They can be created from the project level, for example the way we create a module, or within modules (which is a artifact of type module), or from collections, or from other text artifacts, etc. An artifact, even though it exists at the project level, it can exist in one or more modules.
At the project level we can search for artifacts, create views, use filters.
Rich hover gives us info about the artifact without the need to open it.
We can use web-browser features to open the artifacts in their own windows etc.
This artifact exists in two modules
Modules between the tools look very similar. There are a few things you should note however
RDNG Modules contain artifacts
Artifacts can be of any type
Views can be private or public, and can be shared across modules.
Comments can be written against the artifacts
Fine level editing, locking artifact only when you are editing them, or if you choose to manually lock them
Edit the attributes inline, or by their properties. Possible to edit multiple artifacts simultaneouly
10-12
If the icon shows a black arrow that points out of the icon, the change is in the current artifact.
If the icon shows a blue arrow that points into the icon, the change is in the linked artifact.
If the icon shows a red double arrow, both the current artifact and the linked artifact were changed.
In the Links section, you can see both incoming and outgoing suspect links. On the Artifacts page, you can see only incoming links.
