2. 0.- SYNOPSIS:
1. To proceed with City-Regional Policies analysis: By sharing the postdoctoral project
named “Benchmarking Future City-Regions“ (www.cityregions.org)
2. The project aims to compare 8 diverse City-Region cases by looking into:
1. MACRO: their City-Regional Policies/Territorial Development Strategies and
2. MESO: their Social Innovation Processes from the Action Research perspective.
3. A City-Region Analytical Framework designed by the author and called 5-System will
be suggested for the analysis.
4. Methodology: Hence, a qualitative comparative field work research is being carried
out gradually based on a Triangulation method that consists of:
1. Direct Participation,
2. Direct Observation and
3. State-of-the-Art.
5. Analysis of the City-Regional Policies of just 3 City-Region case-studies:
Basque, Oresund and Manchester/Liverpool.
