2. Dunes in słowiński national park Slowinski National Park was established in 1967.Thisis the largest dune area in Poland. It occupies about 500 hectares. The dunes reach a height of over 30 m above sea-level andwhenthey move with the wind, they travel at a rate of approximately 3-10 m per year. When the masses of sand rise for a few meters and transfer directly to the forest and lakes, they create unforgettable views. 6. Hańcza lake Hańcza Lake is located in the Suwalki region. Its depth is 108.5 meters andit is the deepest lake in Poland and throughout Central Europe. The lake lies in the Suwalki Landscape Park andit is a nature reserve so that the whole is protected.In 1974 Hańcza was listed as a UNESCO Project Aqua because of its depth, and also thanks to the high underwater walls, formed from glacial deposits. The lake is an attractive place to practice diving.

10. WIELICZKA The historic Salt Mine in Wieliczkais the only mine in the world functioning continuously since the Middle Ages to the present. Its original excavations (passages, ramps, chambers, lakes, shafts) with a total length of about 300 km on 9 levels, reaching to a depth of 327 meters they illustrate all the stages of mining technology development in the various historical periods. Wieliczka salt mine has the status of the monument and is protected by law. In 1976 it was listed in the register of national monuments, and two years later in the First World Heritage List of Cultural and Natural Heritage.

Fortunately, the city was quickly rebuilt and today we can enjoy the splendor of the Old Town. Gdansk’s Old Town is one of the most beautiful in Europe.

14. WAWEL IN CRACOW Wawel Castle is a place of coronation of Polish kings and their eternal rest.It is the greatest monument of architecture in Poland and a priceless national monument. Its walls are hidden remnants of pre-Romanesque buildings, Romanesque and Gothic. IthasgottheRenaissance style thanks to King Sigismund I the Old in the years 1507-1536. The great castle complex consists of the outer courtyard. In 1978, the Wawel Castle was listedintheUNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage.

16. Auschwitz-birkenaumuseum in OŚwięcim Auschwitz - Birkenauis a museum of German concentration camps, including concentration camp in Auschwitz and the nearby town which existed from 1940-1945. Itisthe symbol of the Holocaust. In 1940 in these areas, the German authorities have set up camp, originally designed for the deposition and the opposition political prisoners, mostly Polish. Thenit was gradually expanded in the main place of mass extermination of approximately one million Jews from across Europe, and many Polish, Gypsies, Soviet prisoners of war and victims of other nationalities. It is the only concentration camp located on the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Royal Castlein Warsaw Royal Castleis the baroque royal castle located in Warsaw at the Castle Square.Originally, it was the residence of the dukes of Mazovia, and since the sixteenth centuryit was the seat of Polishgovernement. In the nineteenth century, after the November Uprising, it was intendedfor the Russian administration. During World War Iit was the residence of the German Governor General. In 1939it was burnt and pillaged by the Germans, and in 1944 almost completely destroyed. After 1971 itwas rebuilt and reconstructed. Today itis a monument of history and national culture. In 1980, the Royal Palace,with the Old Town was inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage Site.
