Appian and Accenture Federal Services Team to Accelerate Acquisition
Modernization for Government and Defense Organizations
Appian announced a collaboration with Accenture Federal Services (AFS),
a subsidiary of Accenture to further simplify the federal acquisition process
through low-code automation. Through the joint effort, AFS is developing
new delivery accelerators to enhance Appian’s Acquisition Solutions,
which simplify the acquisition process and validate that the process fully
complies with the Federal Acquisition Regulations for defense and civilian
agencies, their supplements and policies. In today’s digital landscape,
federal leaders are tasked with automating complex workflows and
processes while being required to securely unify data, people, the digital
workforce, and all business processes. This places a heavy burden on
procurement teams that are tied to outdated systems and have strict budget
constraints. In order to adjust, agencies must leverage their current IT
investments and extend the capabilities of their legacy systems, which can
be done with a low-code automation platform.

New Relic Announces Second Quarter Fiscal Year 2021 Results
Second Quarter Fiscal Year 2021 Financial Highlights:
• Revenue of $166 million, compared to $146 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2020.
• GAAP gross margin of 73% and non-GAAP gross margin of 75%.
• GAAP loss from operations was $(42.9) million, compared to $(16.9) million for the second
quarter of fiscal 2020.
• Non-GAAP income (loss) from operations was $(5.3) million, compared to $11.2 million for the
second quarter of fiscal 2020.
• GAAP net loss attributable to New Relic per basic share was $(0.79), compared to a loss of
$(0.32) per basic share for the second quarter of fiscal 2020.
• Non-GAAP net income (loss) attributable to New Relic per diluted share was $(0.07), compared
to $0.24 per diluted share for the second quarter of fiscal 2020.
• Cash provided by operating activities was $12.9 million and free cash flow was $5.3 million for
the second quarter of fiscal 2021.
• Cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments were $840 million at the end of the second
quarter of fiscal 2021, compared with $829 million at the end of the first quarter of fiscal 2021.
• Remaining performance obligations were $602 million at the end of the second quarter of fiscal
2021, compared with $635 million at the end of the first quarter of fiscal 2021. This represents the
aggregate unrecognized transaction price of remaining performance obligations as of each of
September 30, 2020 and June 30, 2020.

to the market, and the early response from customers has been encouraging,” said CEO and
founder, New Relic. “At the low end of the market, we're seeing a whole new generation of
individual developers adopt our free offering. And, at the high end of the market, companies of
all sizes have been leveraging our offer of free and full entitlements to evaluate New Relic as
their complete observability platform. While customer experimentation with the new product and
pricing model slowed sales cycles in the quarter, on average, customers that are renewing on the
new pricing model are growing their commitment to New Relic by double digits.”

Onit Acquires AXDRAFT, Expanding its Contract Lifecycle Management
Offerings with Robust Document Automation
Onit, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise workflow automation and AI solutions, including
enterprise legal management, contract lifecycle management and business process
automation, announced that it has acquired AXDRAFT, a Y Combinator-backed document
automation company. The company helps corporate legal departments draft legal documents
10 times faster and complete contracts like nondisclosure agreements and service agreements
in less than five minutes. Based in Kyiv, Ukraine, it was founded in 2017 and works with
customers including Sandoz and Louis Dreyfus Company. AXDRAFT is now AXDRAFT,
an Onit Company, and will operate as an independent subsidiary. This acquisition is Onit’s
third in the last 19 months and the second deal announced in 30 days. In November, Onit
acquired legal AI company McCarthyFinch and immediately launched Precedent, its
intelligence platform, and ReviewAI, software that accelerates contract review by up to 70%
and improves user productivity by more than 50%.AXDRAFT offers a proprietary algorithm
with streamlined and extensible document drafting in multiple languages, including Chinese
and Japanese. It supports live document preview and data integrations. With the algorithm, a
document of any complexity can be transformed into a simple Q&A process. AXDRAFT
will be led by co-founder Yuriy Zaremba, who is now General Manager. Co-founder Oleg
Zaremba, who holds master’s degrees in applied mathematics, material sciences and
quantum physics, will serve as CTO.

Sauce Labs Acquires API Fortress to Bolster Continuous Testing Platform with
Modern API Testing Solution
Sauce Labs Inc., the leading provider of continuous testing solutions that deliver digital confidence,
announced that it has acquired API Fortress, a leading provider of modern API testing solutions for agile
and DevOps teams. The acquisition addresses a critical need for customers by enabling them to quickly,
easily, and continuously test the API endpoints that make up the core of modern API-driven applications.
The API Fortress platform enables customers to transform their API development processes, accelerate
releases, and reduce risk in the software development lifecycle. With the addition of API Fortress, Sauce
Labs now offers an even richer and more comprehensive testing experience, one that includes API testing
in addition to functional UI testing, visual end-to-end testing, and front-end performance testing, as well as
real-time test insights and analytics. The acquisition of API Fortress complements Sauce Labs existing
functional UI testing capabilities by enabling customers to address one of the biggest challenges they
typically face with traditional UI testing. Customers running functional UI tests on the Sauce Labs platform
will be able to leverage API Fortress to quickly and easily determine if there are issues at the API level that
require a more targeted set of API tests, and if so, to generate and execute those tests using a powerful set
of API testing capabilities available directly from Sauce Labs. In the early days of application development,
web applications made just a small number of API requests to required microservices. With fewer API
endpoints to track down, a functional test failure caused by an out-of-date API was relatively easy to
identify and debug, making the need for targeted API testing far less acute. As modern software
development has progressed, however, web apps have become far more API-driven, and the number of
APIs communicating with various microservices has exploded.

DxO PhotoLab 4, the world’s most advanced photo-editing software in terms of image processing launched two months ago, lets users
harness the full potential of the new Apple M1 chip powering the latest generation of the Mac Mini, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro.
The newest version of the software, DxO PhotoLab 4.1, also offers better colour control through its improved HSL tool and support for
five new cameras. The architecture of the latest Apple M1 chip has been optimised with image processing and artificial intelligence
algorithms in mind. It’s only natural then that the extraordinary image quality made possible by DxO PhotoLab 4’s DxO DeepPRIME
image processing technology is now dramatically more efficient on the latest generation of Mac Mini, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro.
Users can now process their images three to five times faster compared to the most recent 13” MacBook Pro and Mac Mini for nearly half
the cost—and in silence. Images are exported at 1.5 mpix/s, which is faster than the previous version of DxO PRIME. In fact, the Apple
M1 chip greatly reduces the time it takes to complete all edits. Because the technology applies a denoising and a demosaicing algorithm

Automation Anywhere, Inc., a global leader in Robotic Process Automation (RPA), announced the company is expanding its collaboration with
Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – one of the largest teaching hospitals in the United Kingdom – to launch its flu-reporting
bot. Already, it’s saved 2,000 hours that was previously spent compiling manual reports. To thwart a winter “twindemic” – where both influenza
and COVID-19 spread and sicken patients and frontline staff – Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is offering the flu vaccine
to its more than 14,000 employees. As part of the NHS Trust’s mandate to promote health and safety over the winter months, the need for reporting
on the number of staff being vaccinated and flu-related absences has intensified. Current reporting processes are manual-intensive, requiring
significant administrative time. Additionally, there is added pressure to report COVID-19 cases surging across the region. With the successful
roll-out of the flu-reporting bot, Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is reviewing plans to extend the technology to support
local test and trace processes and report on COVID-19 vaccinations, when they are ready to be administered. Already, the new flu-reporting bot
has captured updates for more than 10,000 staff vaccinations across multiple clinical sites and saved nearly three months of cumulative
administrative time. Automating the reporting has given valuable hours back to the Trust at a time when staff resources are strained daily.

Through the joint effort, AFS is developing new delivery accelerators to enhance Appian’s Acquisition Solutions, which simplify the acquisition process and validate that the process fully complies with the Federal Acquisition Regulations for defense and civilian agencies, their supplements and policies. In today’s digital landscape, federal leaders are tasked with automating complex workflows and processes while being required to securely unify data, people, the digital workforce, and all business processes. This places a heavy burden on procurement teams that are tied to outdated systems and have strict budget constraints. In order to adjust, agencies must leverage their current IT investments and extend the capabilities of their legacy systems, which can be done with a low-code automation platform. Financial, M&A Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable New Relic Announces Second Quarter Fiscal Year 2021 Results Second Quarter Fiscal Year 2021 Financial Highlights: • Revenue of $166 million, compared to $146 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2020. • GAAP gross margin of 73% and non-GAAP gross margin of 75%. • GAAP loss from operations was $(42.9) million, compared to $(16.9) million for the second quarter of fiscal 2020. • Non-GAAP income (loss) from operations was $(5.3) million, compared to $11.2 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2020. • GAAP net loss attributable to New Relic per basic share was $(0.79), compared to a loss of $(0.32) per basic share for the second quarter of fiscal 2020. • Non-GAAP net income (loss) attributable to New Relic per diluted share was $(0.07), compared to $0.24 per diluted share for the second quarter of fiscal 2020. • Cash provided by operating activities was $12.9 million and free cash flow was $5.3 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2021. • Cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments were $840 million at the end of the second quarter of fiscal 2021, compared with $829 million at the end of the first quarter of fiscal 2021. • Remaining performance obligations were $602 million at the end of the second quarter of fiscal 2021, compared with $635 million at the end of the first quarter of fiscal 2021. The company helps corporate legal departments draft legal documents 10 times faster and complete contracts like nondisclosure agreements and service agreements in less than five minutes. Based in Kyiv, Ukraine, it was founded in 2017 and works with customers including Sandoz and Louis Dreyfus Company. AXDRAFT is now AXDRAFT, an Onit Company, and will operate as an independent subsidiary. This acquisition is Onit’s third in the last 19 months and the second deal announced in 30 days. In November, Onit acquired legal AI company McCarthyFinch and immediately launched Precedent, its intelligence platform, and ReviewAI, software that accelerates contract review by up to 70% and improves user productivity by more than 50%.AXDRAFT offers a proprietary algorithm with streamlined and extensible document drafting in multiple languages, including Chinese and Japanese. It supports live document preview and data integrations. With the algorithm, a document of any complexity can be transformed into a simple Q&A process. AXDRAFT will be led by co-founder Yuriy Zaremba, who is now General Manager.
