4. The colours we see are lightwaves absorbed or reflected by everything around us. In nature, a rainbow is white light that is broken apart by the moisture in the air. People discovered that white light can be broken apart using tools like prisms. The colours of the visible light spectrum are red, orange, yellow, green,blue, indigo and violet.

5. Colour Wheels show how colours are related. Primary, secondary and intermediate colours are organized on a circular chart.

6. Primary colours are red , blue and yellow . Primary colours cannot be made from other colours.

7. Secondary colours are green , orange , and violet . A secondary colour is made by mixing two primary colours. Each secondary colour is made from the two primary colours on either side of it in the colour wheel. Secondary Colours
