We end up where we started, but our perception has changed. 9. Tom Twkyer suggests that we can fight the control of time by slowing down. The red stop sign is used to suggest this. The sign is an imperative to stop. This is something that Lola fails to do in either of the first two runs through. The consequences of her rushing are that she fails to notice the casino that is in front of her, and which ultimately grants her the money that she so desires. If she had heeded the sign, and stopped, she would have noticed the casnio, and therefore could have prevented the disasters that occurred in the first two runs.
