Yolanda hit the island of Panay. A volunteer
group distributed 24, 631 cans of sardines as
relief goods for the victims of the typhoon.
• Can you imagine how big the number 24,
631 is?

How do we visualize numbers?
• We visualize numbers by using
representations. In this lesson, we used
numbers discs and blocks to represent
numbers. We can also used tables, charts
and other things in visualization of
numbers.
Let’s remember this!
Read the following items. Then use your cut
outs numbers discs to show your answer.
• I have Php51, 562 in my ATM account. How
will I show this number using number
discs?
• Eljay used to collect rubber bands of
different kinds. He has a total of 15, 637
rubber bands in all. How big is this
number? Help him show this with the use of
number discs?
