This presentation was created to help seventh and eighth grade students identify the difference between active and passive voice. This presentation focuses predominantly on sentence structure, forms of verbs used, and reasons why one may choose to write a sentence using active or passive voice. My objectives are: After viewing this presentation and taking the on-line quizzes, the students will be able to identify the difference between a sentence written in passive voice form and one in active voice form. After viewing this presentation and taking the on-line quizzes, the students will be able to construct sentences in the passive and active voice form. After viewing this presentation and taking the on-line quizzes, the students will be able to state the rule of verb usage in passive and active voice sentences. After viewing this presentation and taking the on-line quizzes, the students will be able to define why one may choose to write a sentence using active or passive voice structure.
