inflammation, fever, and complement proteins are
the components of the nonspecific immune
response.

Adaptive Immunity: Lymphocytes and antigen-
presenting cells are involved in generating a specific
immune response.
Innate Immunity: Phagocytes such as
macrophages, neutrophils, natural killer cells,
