Based off comprehensive study results and findings from other districtsOffer various levels of training: beginner, intermediate, advancedcurriculum and technology directors; technology coach Technology coaches train teachers in groups based off their own level of technology level. Beginner training for teaching those who are illiterate, intermediate training who those who can know the basics, and an advanced training who those who are digital immigrantsTechnology training by technology coachstaff Each staff member will attend technology training that the district provides. They will integrate what they have learned into the classroom.Classroom visits and assistance technology coach; principals; teachers Technology coach will visit each teacher and assist in using the technology during an actual classroom. They will discuss any concerns the teacher has or that the coach sees. Principal will visit classroom and also discuss any concerns with that the teacher has or that the principal sees Part III: EvaluationDescriptionSTaR ChartEnsure that all staff completes the STaR Chart for this year. Gives staff input on technology. Results used to determine whether district and campus goals are met.Lesson PlansTeachers will be required to identify what technology they are using. Allows administration to determine the frequency of the programs and plan future staff developmentInformal walk-throughsPrincipals participate in informal walk-throughs weekly. During the walk-through, principals look for technology use and effectiveness. Principal will be able to evaluate real-life usage.Technology coach assessmentTechnology coach will evaluate each teacher’s knowledge of technology and their ability to use it. This can be done during training and follow-up sessions can be done during their time spent assisting the teacher in class.ContestsTeachers will participate in a monthly contest with a prize. These contests will contain the teacher creating/using technology to perform certain tasks and following certain criteria.Teacher SurveyThis is another way teachers can give their input on technology. This will be focused more to what they find difficult and hard to use and to report any problems that have occurred. The data can be used in planning future professional developments and in planning the district/campus goals for the next year.
