8. Directorial Concept
• On the surface Bus Stop is a story about chance
encounter between strangers on the road. As the
story unfolds you realize that everybody has a desire
to feel wanted. They all struggle with their place in
society and how they can find love and family. The
end of the play will show ideas of the idea that even
for a night you can have your company. A few
characters will leave thinking that they have figured
out the key to happiness with each other and others
will take their loneliness to the next stop on the road.
