2. Les Chateaux de la Loire
Chateauxs are castles; usua"y built by kings, people who
gained the kings favor and wealthy bourgeuisie.
The Loire Va"ey is in central France, located between
Su"y -Sur- Loire and Chalonnes.
“The Loire” is the longest river in France.
Most chateauxs were built sometime between the 16th
and 17th centuries.

3. Le Chateau de Villandry and
Gardens
The Chateau Vi"andry is located on the banks of the
“Loire River”.
This particular chateaux was built in the 16th century,
by Jean Le Breton, with a classical French style, also
known as “Henry IV Style.” In the 16th century, the
amazing gardens were planted and tended by monks.

A" of the rooms are very
big and luxurious. The
wa"s and furniture
consist of very bright
colors. There is also, a lot
of furniture, such as
tables and chairs.

gardens, even a maze! Maze!

Every garden has its own name.
This Chateau is most famous for its gardens.
There is a garden, “Tender Garden” , which is centered
around the design of hearts.
