Treasure Island’s impending redevelopment is a great opportunity to
create a thriving habitat for plants and animals native to the San Fran-
cisco Bay Area. The nearby Yerba Buena Island is a great example of
Treasure Island’s potential to be the home to many plants and animals.
This series of bike rack designs were inspired by some of the most
beautiful and representative animals of the bay area. The racks are
simple silhouettes to allow for ease of production, use and engage pe-
destrians and bicyclists of all ages. The racks serve as learning tools
to educate the public about the importance of being a steward of our
habitat and coexist with surrounding wildlife communities.
