Kenneth Goldman - Helping Clients Value Rare Coins

  1. 1. KENNETH GOLDMAN - HELPING CLIENTS VALUE RARE COINS
  2. 2. INTRODUCTION  Kenneth Goldman is a respected Massachusetts rare coin dealer who has been in business for more than four decades. A longtime member of the American Numismatic Association, Kenneth Goldman assists clients who have purchased coins from dealers or telemarketers, and are unaware of the significant appreciation that these items may have experienced with the passage of time. Mr. Goldman is also a member of PCGS and NGC-- which are the two leading coin grading services as well as a 35 year member of the Professional Numismatics Guild (PNG).
  3. 3. NUMISMATIC COLLECTIBLES  Numismatic collectibles have witnessed rapid appreciation in the past two decades, particularly those from sought-after years with limited runs and in mint condition. Examples of coins that have increased dramatically in value are early U.S. silver dollars with bust designs. These quickly rose in value from $1,500 to more than $4,000. with very high quality pieces bringing well into five figures today.
  4. 4. COLLECTING SERIES  Collecting series of specific coins has been popular for generations, and collectors today often focus on short sets. One such set is that of the Walking Liberty half dollar, which was minted for just seven years in the 1940s. In addition, many collectors have moved beyond collecting series of coins towards “type coin” collections that emphasize design and denomination. This has increased the market demand for a broader range of coins.
  5. 5. CONCLUSION  Having accrued considerable experience as an expert witness and appraiser for the Federal Trade Commission and the New York Attorney General's Office, Kenneth Goldman takes time to consult with clients on their collections, and has frequently offered three to four times the prices that they originally paid for their rare coins. He can be contacted at P.O. Box 920404, Needham, MA 02492. He is also accessible at (781) 449-0058 and at kengoldman@aol.com.
