What is Descriptive Writing?  Descriptive writing is used to describe something or someone in quite some detail.  Unlike many other styles of writing you use description in a number of other writing styles such as narratives, persuasive and so on. A description text needs to include a great deal of detail.
Elements of Descriptive writing What, Where, When? Looks Like? Sounds Like? Smells Like? Feels Like? What does it do? It is unique because?

Your Tasks Your task for today is to construct 2 short descriptive texts on the following. one will be a descriptive text of a place.  This could be a country, a city, a sports stadium or just a building you have a particular interest in. The second one is a living thing.  It could be either a factual or fictional character such as a bear, a person, a vampire or even an alien.
Reference Points You might like to use wikipedia and Google for your reading information. You will need to include images in your finished piece and refer to them to in your descriptive writing piece.  You might use Google images or Flickr for this.
